About

I’m a writer, filmmaker and entrepreneur who works at the intersection of fact and fiction.

My work is mission-driven. I'm interested in gun violence, voting rights, indigent defense, public safety, national politics and more.

I write books, docs, scripted TV, essays, journalism, smart copy and pointed tweets. I generate, produce, shoot, direct and edit all kinds of film, video and animation. I also created and run Gun Country, a multi-format project that reboots the conversation about guns in America.

I grew up wrangling sheep on a farm in Australia. I now live in Brooklyn with my unduly patient wife, three absurdly creative teenagers and two dogs that rejects man’s dominion over the animals.
